Dear all,

On behalf of the conveners’ team of EGOS sub-theme 49: Affective ontologies for performative organizations, I would like to cordially invite you to participate to our forum in next year’s conference at Rotterdam, and submit your contributions to our sub-theme. I attach here the call for papers with all the relevant details.

Our sub-theme will be particularly appealing to those currently working on themes of emotions, embodiment and relationality in the study of organizing, coming from process, non-representational and/or psychoanalytical perspectives. It will also be highly relevant to scholars considering questions of appropriate ontologies and epistemologies for our organizational encounters with today’s increasingly volatile and unstable institutional contexts. Our aim is to bring together colleagues from across traditions in order to reflect together on creative and performative frameworks that push beyond dualistic thinking, and consider the overlooked importance of our emotional experience of organizing. We see this sub-group as the beginning of a dialogue that will lead in many exciting directions, including a planned Special Issue in a leading Organisational journal. We look forward to receiving your contributions.

The deadline for submission of short papers is Monday 13th January 2014.

With best wishes,

Aris Komporozos-Athanasiou, Mark Thompson and Marianna Fotaki
